In this article, you will learn the different methods on how to access and view SMS messages. There are three (3) methods on how to get into the SMS messaging feature:

For quick access and convenient way of getting into the SMS screen, use the first method; the Quicklinks Toolbar. 


Method 1: Quicklinks Toolbar

  1. In the Quicklinks Toolbar, click the SMS icon and select View SMS.
  2. You will be directed to the Messages-Inbox screen with already filtered all-SMS messages displayed.
  3. Find the SMS message that you want to view from the list or use the ADVANCED SEARCH feature to enable the filter panel and narrow your search. Click its View Message icon to open the message.
    • Note: you can also see the message overview by clicking the Plus (+) icon beside the message. Messages with New indicators are new and unread messages.
  4. The selected message opens and displays the recipient details and message contents.  In this screen, you can also do the following tasks:

There are two (2) notable panels when you view a message; (a) SMS Chat: <Mobile Number> and (b) Message Type" SMS Received. The SMS Chat: <Mobile Number> panel displays the SMS history which contains all the conversation associated with the mobile phone number, client, or user. While the Message Type: SMS Received panel displays the actual message that you opened.


Method 2: The Messages Module's Inbox-SMS

  1. On the Module Menu, click Messages. You will be directed to the Messages screen.
  2. By default, SMS messages are shown in the list along with Emails, Announcements, and System messages. It may be strenuous to find SMS messages by just scrolling down and looking at the Channel type of each message. To filter and display just the SMS messages you received, click Inbox and select All.
  3. The All sub-menu will expand enabling more options. Find and click SMS.
    • Note: you can also use the Global Search field to search for specific SMS messages.
  4. Find the message that you are looking for and click its View Message icon to open the message.
    • Note: you can also see the message overview by clicking the Plus (+) icon beside the message. Messages with New indicators are new and unread messages. 
  5. The selected message opens and displays the recipient details and message contents. In this screen, you can also do the following tasks:
